This shirt is inspired by a piano shawl from the 1930s-1950s. Piano shawls were used in the Victorian era for home decoration, but by the 1930s, the term referred to embroidered silk shawls worn by women. The newer shawls were influenced both by Spanish and Chinese designs. We reproduced the floral embroidery on silk chiffon.
